General Surgery

Our multi-specialty surgery program provides expert treatment for conditions ranging from hernias and appendicitis to challenging and life-threatening diseases of the chest, abdomen, liver, stomach and intestines. Our specialized care unit has board-certified physicians, registered nurses, and staff members who are both knowledgeable and certified in their surgical field. Procedures can be performed on an inpatient and out-patient basis.

Technologies

We utilize state-of-the-art minimally-invasive high-definition 3D surgical technologies including da Vinci XI and Mako (orthopedics) robotics to ensure patient safety, quality of care, less pain and faster recovery time. In addition to robotics, our five surgical operating rooms feature other new technologies, including sophisticated laparoscopic video monitors, and other electronics equipment. Our advanced continuous patient monitoring and telemetry system allows physicians to immediately access patient care data in real time from anywhere in the hospital. And our certified radiologists and technicians utilize advanced imaging and radiology tools for diagnosis and treatment, including radiology and fluoroscopy scans, CT scans, MRI, nuclear medicine and ultrasound.

Robotic-Assisted Procedures

The types of robotic-assisted operative cases performed by our dedicated surgical team continue to grow each year. Our current robotic-assisted surgery procedures include:

  • General Surgery – colorectal, Nissen fundoplication, hernia repair, gallbladder, appendectomy, bariatrics (sleeve, bypass, conversion and revision)
  • Gynecology – endometriosis resection, pelvic pain, uterine fibroids, hysterectomy, oophorectomy, salpingo-oophorectormy
  • Orthopedics – partial and total knee replacement, knee revision, total hip replacement, hip revision
  • Urology – prostatectomy

In cancer treatment robotics has transformed the way surgeons’ approach certain gynecological, urology, lung, head and neck, pancreatic and colorectal tumors.
